Mein Leben zwischen Grenzen (My Life Between Borders) and ,,My new life“! – In this book presentation, Benazir Hossaini shares her story of growing up between Afghanistan and Iran and her repeated attempts to reach Europe as a child.

‍

In her books, Beni shares her journey through challenges, hopes, losses, and new beginnings. Through personal stories and reflections, she offers insight into the realities of migration, identity, belonging, and resilience.

‍

The book is not only a story about crossing geographical borders but also about overcoming social, cultural, and emotional barriers. It invites readers to reflect on questions of home, freedom, and the human experience behind migration.

Charlas para amasar – Ximena Gutiérrez Toro presents a DIY recipe book born from gatherings with Venezuelan and Colombian women in Cali, Cartagena, and Cúcuta. Around arepas, conversations unfolded about migration, borders, loss, resilience, and the many ways people rebuild community far from home.

Following the presentation, Ximena invites participants to a three-hour gathering where cooking becomes a way of sharing experiences and making connections. Together, we will prepare arepas.

Alongside the fair, workshops invite visitors to print, bind, make, and publish. Because sometimes the best way to circulate an idea is to put it in someone else's hands.
